Last week, I reviewed the July 1952 issue of Adventure. I mentioned the story by R.W. Daly. I have read some stories by him in the 1940s too and felt that he was one of the better writers in the forties. He wrote excellent historical naval fiction, but sadly there are none available now. As a sample of his excellent work, here is the story from the 1952 issue for your reading pleasure.

I always enjoy your posts. I've been a pulp fan and collector for almost fifty years now – well, a fan much longer. Although my main interest is in the hero, or single character pulps, I do enjoy ADVENTURE and ARGOSY very much. I was contacted by the people at GALAXY PRESS who asks about contacted you. They are looking for book reviewers. I'm not sure you would be interested, but told them I would pass on your request. I think they are mainly reprinting L. Ron Hubbard's pulp stories. If you want to contact them, you can drop me a note at fadingshadows40@gmail.com
