Excellent photos of a great convention! My favorite is the last photo of the WESTERN STORY cover painting showing indians scaling the wall of a fort.
Concerning the ORIENTAL cover painting, I believe this is the one that Bob Weinberg told me he obtained in the 1970's in a Chicago bookstore. Price was only $8.00. That's right 8 dollars!
Back then Bob and I were constantly amazed that these cover paintings went unsold for years despite being quite inexpensive. I bought many paintings for $50 to $200 each. One with pinholes was given to me for free. I still have it decades later.
Thanks for all the photos, Sai. Could you possibly add ALL the photos of art you shot? I noticed you didn't upload the ones from Walker's write up, and those are tiny and can't be enlarged. I'd appreciate it!

Great art, fantastic show. The Paul Strayer painting looks quite different on the cover, where it was cropped and the colors changed. Which version do you think looks better?
I think the original painting looks a lot better. The colors are better and the full image is not cropped like the magazine cover version.
The nice original Earle K. Bergey Football Cover Painting now sits in my collection (EXCITING SPORTS – Winter 1950). 😊
